How Salary Check works
Being asked "What are your salary expectations?" is one of the hardest moments in a job search. Salary Check gives you a fair, well-reasoned number to answer with.
1. We read your CV
Your experience, seniority, qualifications, languages, and key skills are extracted from the CV you upload.
2. We read the job ad
We work out the role, seniority, sector, company size, and contract type. Pasting the full text gives the best results.
3. We check pay for that market
An AI model estimates what comparable companies pay in that country and city, and checks the statutory minimum wage and any relevant collective agreement.
4. You get a range and a number to ask for
You see a low, target, and high gross annual figure, the exact number to name first, and concrete negotiation tips.
Frequently asked questions
What happens after I click the button?
Your CV text is read in your browser, then sent with the job details to an AI model that estimates the range. This usually takes 20 to 40 seconds.
Why does pasting the full job ad help?
The full text tells the model the exact seniority, sector, company size and contract type. A link alone may be blocked or only partly readable.
How is the legal minimum checked?
The model looks at the statutory minimum wage and, where one exists, the relevant sector collective agreement for the role and country.
Why does the result show a number of payments per year?
Some countries spread annual pay over more than 12 payments, such as 14 in Austria, so the count makes the annual figure comparable.
What does the confidence rating mean?
It reflects how much reliable information was available for that role and market. Lower confidence means you should check the figures more carefully.
